Explaining City's success in 2018/19, Vukusic told the Sowetan: "I found a good squad here - a squad with a good mentality and character.
"I'm very happy as a coach that the players have improved individually and that the team has progressed.
"That is important. Of course we've worked on many issues, because in soccer you are never happy. You must work everyday and there's still space to improve."
Meanwhile, Celtic are a club in great turmoil and are in great financial trouble. Three defeats in a row in the league was followed by a postponed match against Cape Town City on 14 April after Siwelele fans mounted a violent protest.
Chairman Max Tshabalala highlighted the financial troubles by claiming he has had to downgrade his fleet of cars, telling the Sowetan: "Everybody knows we have challenges at the moment. Those who say I have bought a car are stupid. I sold my 911 Porsche for the team. What I did, I downgraded. I sold my Porsche and [Mercedes] G-wagen so that I can buy a bakkie [refering to the Ford Ranger]."
As such, Celtic, who are in 10th and are still in contention for a top eight finish, will likely be underdogs in the clash.
