Chippa United will be eyeing their second win in three days against Cape Town City when they clash in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
The Chilli Boys beat City 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Sunday and will once again be hosting them at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in the league.
Coach Dan Malesela's charges needed an extra-time winner from Bienvenu Eva Nga to knock City out of the cup, and they are hoping to take that form into the league clash.
United have struggled for form in the Premiership in recent weeks, as they have drawn two and lost one of their last three.
"It was a very difficult game but one that we expected to go the way it did," Malesela said after the win over City, as quoted by Herald Live.
"One always knew it was also going to be a game that if we made mistakes we would be punished, and if they made mistakes, they would be punished.
"So it was a game of two teams who wanted to play football and we all did. We won and that is appreciated."
Cape Town City have suffered from a slump in form as they've slipped down the league standings after two draws and two defeats in their last four outings.
Coach Jan Olde Riekerink's men last won a league clash in January when they beat Golden Arrows 4-2 at home.
City are seventh in the standings with 24 points from 17 games, and are six points below the top three, while Chippa are 12th, three above the relegation zone.
