    Korea Republic VS Portugal

Uruguay with a free-kick a few metres short of the box it all hinges on this kick but the Ghana keeper hops to the tight and pouches the ball and that's the final whistle. Uruguay are out and Korea Republic finish second in the Group and head to Round 16. A few Uruguay players are harassing the referee and it looks like he's yellow-carded Cavani. What a day of footballand there are still two more matches to come today. Thank you for sharing the heart-stopping action with us tonight, and enjoy the rest of the action tonight and through the weekend. Yes, sir this truly is "the beautiful game"!

Gomez has a shot from long range but the Ghana keeper makes a great diving save to keep it out. Ghana counter and get a shot on goal but the Uruguay keeper makes a great stop. Uruguay on the attack but lose possession, gain it back, cross into the box and the defender and an attacker are in there together and it's out for a goal-kick. Ghana holding firm, with Luis Suarez taken off and with shades of 2010 he's on the sideline watching the end of a crucial match against Ghana this time even though Ghana are again losing, they will feel some measure of pride to have denied Uruguay of the extra goal they need to go through in this World Cup

FULL-TIME, KOREA REPUBLIC 2-1 PORTUGAL. What an absolutely astounding win for Korea. They were languishing in that second half but they came back strong in the last 15 minutes and, boy, was that winning goal special. Magnificent play from Son and Hwang Hee-Chan. Great win but let's follow Uruguay quickly

GOAL, KOREA REPUBLIC, HWANG HEE-CHAN! 2-1; Son breaks from the halfway line, holds off to defenders until Hwang Hee-Chan arrives in support, Son slides it into the box and Hee-Chan slams his shot in from the right, hitting against the angle he was running and it's into the back of the net and NOW Korea Republic are through as long as Portugal don't score OR Uruguay don't score another.
