Manchester United start their quest for back-to-back Europa League titles on Thursday when they play host to Astana of Kazakhstan.The Red Devils won the competition in 2017, earning them a spot in the following season's Champions League but after failing to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League last term, they return to Europe's second-tier competition.
The Old Trafford outfit are expected to mark their comeback with a win, with Astana forming part of what looks to be a winnable group for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side alongside Partizan Belgrade and AZ Alkmaar.
United head into the game having got back to winning ways at the weekend with a hard-earned victory over Leicester at home, ending a three-game winless run.
Solskjaer has revealed he will be making plenty of changes from that victory over the Foxes, confirming goalkeeper Sergio Romero, defender Axel Tuanzebe and forward Mason Greenwood will all start.
Daniel James is amongst the players who will not feature after missing training on Wednesday, with Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw also currently unavailable.
Astana make the near-4,000 mile trip to Old Trafford having come through two rounds of qualifying to reach the Europa League group stage, hanging on to edge out BATE in the play-off round.
