West Ham welcome Manchester United to the London Stadium on Sunday hoping to extend their four-match unbeaten run in the league. The Hammers haven't lost since a 5-0 drubbing to Manchester City on the opening weekend and battled to a hard-earned goalless draw at Aston Villa last time out, taking a point despite the sending off of Arthur Masuaku in the second half. This time last year, Manuel Pellegrini's side were finding life tough and there was talk the Chilean could be sacked. However, he has turned things around in east London and Pellegrini is now having to play down talk of a European finish this season. I never say what our team target is for the season. I think though, that if pundits have those feelings, maybe it is because the team is showing in games, we are able to do that, Pellegrini said. West Ham go into the game level on points with Manchester United, who lost 3-1 at the London Stadium last season, only their second defeat in the last 21 meetings between the two sides. United are searching for their first away win of the campaign having been held to 1-1 draws by Southampton and Wolves so far and warmed up for the game with a 1-0 win over Astana in the Europa League on Thursday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rotated his team for the win over the Kazakh champions, giving the likes of Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes starts but is likely to recall his big guns at the weekend. Solskjaer hopes to have Daniel James back against the Hammers, but the Manchester United manager again expects to be without Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw. James missed Thursday's Europa League win against Astana due to a knock sustained against Leicester and will be assessed ahead of the trip to the capital. Solskjaer is not expecting Pogba (ankle) or Martial (thigh) to return on Sunday, while left-back Shaw (hamstring) remains sidelined. Manuel Lanzini has a small problem, which will be assessed on Saturday. Masuaku will be unavailable after his sending-off at Aston Villa on Monday and is expected to be replaced by Aaron Cresswell. Winston Reid is closing in on a return to fitness and could play for the Under-23s this week, while Michail Antonio is a long-term absentee.
