Huddersfield v Watford
Huddersfield v Watford
Huddersfield will look to end a six-game losing run when they play host to Watford, who will be without skipper Troy Deeney.

PaddyPower Pre-Match Odds: Huddersfield 6/1, Draw 7/2, Watford 13/5*

The Terriers remain rock bottom and have won just one of their last 21 Premier League games as they prepare to face FA Cup finalists Watford, who won the reverse fixture 3-0 back in October.

Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert is again having to deal with injury issues, with Karlan Grant the latest concern. The striker has not trained this week due to illness and faces a last fitness test.

The hosts are still without Lauren Depoitre, despite recently returning to training, but Isaac Mbenza is fit again and could come into contention. Siewert wouldn't reveal who will start in goal in his pre-match press conference, with Ben Hamer conceding 10 goals in the last three games.

Watford also have selection problems ahead of their trip to West Yorkshire, with Javi Gracia facing the prospect of being without seven first-team squad members. Captain Deeney definitely misses the game through suspension, after seeing his appeal fail following his red card in Monday's defeat to Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Jose Holebas, Domingos Quina, Tom Cleverley and Adalberto Penaranda have been ruled out, while Roberto Pereyra and Gerard Deulofeu face late fitness checks.

Huddersfield have won the last two meetings between the clubs at the John Smith's Stadium, including a 1-0 victory last season thanks to an injury-time winner from Tom Ince.

BETTING ADVICE

Watford may have secured a place in the FA Cup final however, their league form has suffered in recent weeks. Javi Gracia’s side look to get back on track when they take on Huddersfield this Saturday.

In six of their last Premier League games, Watford have only managed to win two games. During that time, the Hornets did claim a place in the FA Cup final however, the team has to be careful not to drop further down the table and miss out on a larger share of the prize money.

A win against Huddersfield though, shouldn’t be much more than a formality. Jan Siewert’s side have been simply woeful throughout this season and have picked up just four Premier League points since November.

The Terriers are 6/1 in the betting which can be seen as a poor price. That’s down to a couple of factors. Firstly, Huddersfield have a decent head to head record against the Hornets. Secondly, Watford have lost three straight games away from home.

Nevertheless, with Huddersfield in a real hole at this minute, the recommendation is to back the away side. The half time/full time market offers particular value at 2/1.
