Everton will look to end their run of four straight defeats in the Premier League when they welcome West Ham United to Goodison Park.
The Toffees have endured a miserable few weeks under Marco Silva and are now in the relegation zone as a result. Defeats to Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Manchester City and Burnley have seen Silva linked with the sack after he spent heavily in the summer transfer window. A win on Saturday could lift them into mid-table although they face a West Ham side who have only lost one of their last seven league games. That defeat came in their last fixture before the international break, with Crystal Palace getting the better of them. Manuel Pellegrini’s men should be a real threat if their away record is anything to go by, with the Hammers unbeaten in their last six games on the road. Toffees right-back Djibril Sidibe is set to make his first start in the league, with Seamus Coleman suspended this week. Midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has recently had surgery on his thigh and is out until the new year, but Fabian Delph is back in contention. West Ham's Declan Rice is fit after recovering from an illness that saw him miss England’s win in Bulgaria. Aaron Cresswell and Robert Snodgrass are also available after recent knocks, but Lukasz Fabianski, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid are all still on the sidelines. West Ham go into this week’s contest with plenty of confidence after winning two of the last three meetings between the pair.
