Crystal Palace v Everton
Crystal Palace v Everton
Crystal Palace will face Everton at Selhurst Park knowing that a win will take them to within four points of their opponents.

Roy Hodgson's men, who are currently 12th, have steered themselves clear of the relegation zone and have won their last two games on the road against Arsenal and Newcastle.

But the Eagles' recent record against Everton is poor, having failed to win any of their last eight meetings, which includes a 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park back in October.

Hodgson is expected to name the same starting XI that won at the Emirates last Sunday, with long-term absentees Mamadou Sakho, Jeffrey Schlupp and James Tomkins the only players missing from the squad.

Everton have a couple of injury issues to contend with ahead of their trip to the capital, with Richarlison the major concern. The Brazilian is set to undergo a late fitness test after picking up a knock in the win over Manchester United.

Theo Walcott suffered an injury niggle last Sunday and will also be assessed before Saturday's game, but Marco Silva has received better news on the defensive front.

Lucas Digne, who scored in the win over United, has been passed fit to play, while Yerry Mina has been back in training and comes into contention. Andre Gomes serves the second game of his three-match suspension.

Betting Tips

PaddyPower Pre-Match Odds: Crystal Palace 8/5, Draw 23/10, Everton 13/8

Following their emphatic away win over Arsenal, Crystal Palace will be looking for a repeat when they host Everton at Selhurst Park.

The Toffees are also coming into this game on the back of a good result. A 4-0 demolition job of Manchester United has helped Marco Silva’s men to jump to 9th in the Premier League table.

Despite having two teams in good form going head to head, the recommendation in an easy one – back the visitors.

When looking at Crystal Palace, the only reason why they are not in a relegation battle is purely down to their away form. Roy Hodgson’s side are the 6th best team in the league when it comes to playing away. However, the only team with a worse home record than the Eagles is Huddersfield Town.

What’s more, Palace have struggled in recent years when it comes to playing the Toffees. The Eagles are without a win in eight straight encounters with Everton; last winning during the 2014/15 season.

All the signs are pointing in one direction so with that in mind, the recommendation is an outright Everton victory at 7/4.
