West Ham will go third in the Premier League table if they win at Aston Villa on Monday.They are unbeaten since an opening-day drubbing by Manchester City, winning 2-0 against Norwich last time out, while their previous away game brought a 3-1 victory at Watford.
Michail Antonio is out after undergoing hamstring, joining long-term injury victim Winston Reid in the treatment room.
Boss Manuel Pellegrini said: "We are trying to find a balanced team that can keep more clean sheets, try to score the most amount of goals, but football is about moments.
"At this time, we are in a good general moment and we must try to extend it in the next game."
Villa have highlighted Hammers striker Sebastien Haller, scorer of three goals in his last two games, as the danger man.
Boss Dean Smith said: "(He) looks a very good centre-forward. They paid a lot of money for him.
"But he's already got a couple of goals and looks a handful."
Smith will be without striker Jonathan Kodija due to a fractured cheekbone sustained in training, although he has featured little this season. James Chester (hamstring) is back in training but won't play.
With just three points earned from four games, Villa enter the contest in the relegation zone. However, a point would lift them out of it.
History is on their side they've lost just two of their last 18 home league games against the Hammers.
