Leeds United and Stoke City came into the weekend's league fixture at polar opposites of the table, and things remained the same way after Leeds came away with a 3-0 win from the Bet365 Stadium. There had been suggestions that under-pressure Stoke boss Nathan Jones would be sacked after that result, but he remains in charge for this second meeting in four days, this time at Elland Road. The cup competition should provide a different complexion in terms of teams, with Cameron Carter-Vickers expected to make a start after his league debut at the weekend. High-profile stars such as Jack Butland and Joe Allen were dropped for Saturday's defeat and it remains to be seen whether they'll be recalled here.
There'll be plenty of rotations from Marcelo Bielsa, who named an almost entirely second-string XI in the last round against Salford (a 3-0 win). Big money summer signing Helder Costa and hyped Arsenal loanee have done well together in their cameos so far, and will get another chance here. Nketiah has scored in two of his three appearances to date and will get a start here, with Costa has provided an assist on both occasions. Elsewhere, winger Jack Clarke - brought back to the club on loan from Tottenham - will be given an opportunity after missing out on the last two matchday squads due to a maximum of five loanees. Stoke will be happy to see veteran midfielder Pablo Hernandez likely rested, after he played a part in all three goals at the weekend. We recommend backing Nketiah to score, given his record so far. Bielsa has all but confirmed rotations for this one, while Stoke's porous defence - the worst in the Championship with 13 conceded from five games - looks vulnerable.

Recommendation
Eddie Nketiah to score two or more goals - 6/1 with Bet365
