Swansea taking nothing for granted as securing play-off spot within grasp
Swansea manager Steve Cooper insists his side are taking nothing for granted as they head to Reading knowing they could secure their place in the top six of the Sky Bet Championship.
The Swans travel to Reading on Sunday, knowing their play-off place is in their own hands and will be guaranteed if they manage to avoid defeat.
“Sunday can’t come quick enough,” Cooper told the club’s official website.
“We will take nothing for granted, we have worked hard to get in this position and we want to try and get the job done.
“But you have to play the game and get the right result, they are playing for the same thing and they are a good side.
“We are in a different position, but we have to respect that and play the game for what it is.
“You always want to have momentum and be winning games and be in good form. At some points of the season it can be better than others, but we cannot assume anything.
“We have got a job to do, and we have to deliver when it counts on Sunday.”
Reading have dropped out the top six in recent weeks and are currently six points behind sixth-placed Barnsley following a draw against Luton midweek.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Bristol City will host Luton as they look to break into the top half of the table.
