Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate will be without suspended duo Paddy McNair and Marvin Johnson ahead of his squads Championship clash with Charlton.

McNair picked up a fifth yellow card and a one-match suspension as Boro’s three-game unbeaten run was ended by a heavy 4-0 defeat to Leeds last weekend.

Johnson still has a match to serve of his three-game ban after his red card against Hull.

Anfernee Dijksteel, Ryan Shotton, Marcus Browne, Darren Randolph and Rudy Gestede all remain sidelined.

Charlton head to Riverside in search of an elusive victory after failing to win any of their last seven matches.

Manager Lee Bowyer will be bolstered by the return of Lyle Taylor, however, who is set to be available after recovering from injury which has ruled him out since the end of August.

Taylor, who scored five times during the Addicks’ first six league fixtures, suffered a knee injury when representing Montserrat and has missed 13 games since.

Chuks Aneke has also returned to training is expected to be in the squad, but Welsh international Tom Lockyer is unavailable due to suspension.
